Volunteering
Below, you will find many different volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Please remember to have your ID as you check in through the front office. When leaving, you must check out in the front office. Please remember to log your volunteer hours in the DVA Volunteer Log Book in the front office. There are also opportunities to donate requested items at 1 hour per $10 spent. Enter your donations into the DVA Volunteer Log Book.

Café – All Year
Daily in Winter/Spring
All year long, volunteers are needed in the DVA Café during homeroom and lunch times to help monitor students and assist with sales. Sign up using the links below! The morning shift is from 7:30 – 8:30 and the afternoon shift is from 11:00 – 1:00. You may sign up for one or both. All help is greatly appreciated!

Museum Gift Shop
Spring 2024
Working in the Museum Treasure Shop involves helping our elementary school field trip guests with their purchases. Adding up the cost of items and giving change is required. At the end of the shift the money is counted for a deposit. All help is greatly appreciated!

Museum Build Days
Various Times (see sign-ups)
There are typically 5 build days per grade level with morning and afternoon sessions. Talk with your child to know who their gallery teacher is. You can of course come and help on other days than your child’s build day too! You are always welcome to help with other exhibits in addition to your child’s. If you want to volunteer the whole day, that’s fine, just sign up for both slots. You can sign up for 1 slot, or all 10! Whenever you are willing to help, we are happy to have you.

Veteran’s Day Breakfast

Every year, we host a breakfast for the veterans in our DVA Family! You can sign up to attend here. Of course, we need breakfast to serve! If you would like to bring items to serve our veterans, please use the link below. All items can count toward volunteer hours.
